Prologue: I look up and see paramedics everywhere. Loading me into the ambulances, out of the ambulance, into the hospital, into a special elevator that fits a gurney. Everything is a bit fuzzy and dreamlike, sort of what the DARE speakers (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) that came to our school told us what being 'high' would be like. I didn't take drugs, did I? No, that would be stupid. I just had a major dance recital at the Boston Ballet theater. I think that's what this wooziness is about. Something with the recital. This hurts my head to think about. Let's go back to a simpler time, a simpler place. Yesterday.
