It was a scheme, that's all it was. A scheme to get on Reyna's good side to become praetor. It wasn't supposed to be this way, he wasn't supposed to fall in love with her. Those were all thoughts that Octavian had when he realized he had fallen in love with the very praetor he was trying to overthrow. It happened slowly, right under their noses, and they didn't catch it until it was too late to turn back. So they might as well make the most of it, right?
