And as an added bonus, he offers to tutor Angie for free. If only he wouldn't be so much fun and so damn good looking. Tom didn't know he had a generous bone in his body, and yet he offered one of his few free afternoons to a total stranger. One he's getting much too attached to after his recent brush with lost love and drama. There's just something about her, a mystery he needs to unravel that goes beyond her beauty. And it's deeply seeded in her refusal to relax around him or anyone else. The closer they come to each other, the more complicated their lives get. It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.

Suddenly the future wasn't so simple and predictable as Amelia thought it was, she couldn't even see into tomorrow. Would she run again or would she take the bull by it's horns and think of it as a second chance of happiness? She couldn't even see happiness in her future, how would she survive?

He usually prefers his employees to be less...bubbly. Energetic. A little more like him, essentially. But there was something about her the moment she introduced herself. Maybe it was the way she looked at him, or the way she smiled at everyone in her line of sight, who knows. But, whatever the reason is, he hates it. He hates that he gave into that feeling when he met her. She manages to find her way into his mind 24/7, unlike any woman ever has. She doesn't think she's ever seen someone as angry at the world as him. He can be rude and he doesn't always think about other's feelings before he speaks. A scowl somehow is always set on his face, like he was born that way. For any other person, a man like that would make you want to simply ignore him. But not her. She has her heart set on making him smile. Even just a little. Maybe even a laugh. And she is not giving up any time soon. It's not hard to tell that two people with personalities like theirs can lead to a dangerous combination.

She was someone nobody cared for because she was known as a freak. Why has she named the freak? Isn't it obvious? She's Quiet, hidden and nobody knew her well enough, well not that anyone knew of.
