The Book of Maggie

What would you do if you stumbled upon a building full of books containing the events of every person on this planet's life? Would you gingerly put it back, or would you vow to save that person from their fate?

Grayson McCoy was just traveling the states when he stumbled upon the building deep within the woods of Virginia. It looked to be abandoned, so he decided to go in. Inside were walls stacked to the brim with shelves of books, all with names lining down the spines. One in particular, though, caught his eye. Upon reading, he discovered a sarcastic girl by the name of Maggie Kepner, who was the co captain of her cheerleading team and a player on the school's softball team in Michigan.

He became intrigued upon reading her childhood, up until May 7th, the day she dies. Grayson furrowed his eyebrows and tucked the book safely in his backpack before exiting the building. He didn't understand why he came across this place, or this book, but he felt obligated to save this girl. How could someone write about an eighteen year old girl, her life full of promise, dying months later before her older brother's wedding?

And so, Grayson decided he was going to find her. He was going to find and her and keep her alive, no matter what it takes.
