My Colors is a true story written by me about my life. It takes place over a 2 and a half year period period, when I was 11 to 14. It describes the hardships of coping with cancer and what effects it can have on people emotionally.
Everything in it is true. I made it a several years ago when my therapist told me I should try writing to help with my depression. This is my first draft of it and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I might go back and revise it or add more since there's a lot I left out. I would love to hear feedback, too. I'm okay with people sharing this story and publishing it elsewhere ONLY IF I'm credited. Picture is just a placeholder so it's not subject to copyright.

I may just be a girl. No one special. Nothing compared to others. In the eyes of the universe, I am just a little speck of dust. Hello, I don't write to inform you or to show you my life story. I write to show that you can move on from the past and let go. The only way you can move on it is to forgive yourself and the people who have hurt your soul. I write for the damaged, to let them know I see them suffering in silence. This book is about overcoming the hells of life and letting yourself enjoy the good things that you have. I wrote this when I was going through a really hard time in my own life. This book was my safe place. It's a place for me to express my feelings and to be 100% open with myself.
