Meet Brooklyn; your average country girl from Texas. She lived life like any other until her grandmother died. Devastated after the death of her beloved family member, Brooklyn picks up everything and moves to Georgia. Hoping to maybe escape from her pain and frustration. Brook acts as a single mother, taking care of her younger sister.
Things are rough for both of them, making enough so they can just barely make it by. With all of this responsibility dumped on her shoulders, Brook doesn't have the time to think about anything else...more specifically, boys. That is until she meets the boy next door; Luke.
Because of how she was raised, Brook naturally tries to avoid the topic of "love". She wants nothing to do with it, life is too short to get caught up in some romantic fantasy. Strictly work and no play is what she lives by.
However, when it comes to this strangely captivating male figure, will she give in to what she really feels, or will she turn her back and walk away from it all?
Luke isn't afraid of the feelings that he has for her, nor is he scared to show them. If you like someone, you like them. But, will Brook react the same way? She's never felt like this before, foreign to all these feelings Luke has awakened in her. Will she keep this emotional wall intact, or will she let it crumble down and...let it go?
