This book is a short story, so it doesn't have a lot of chapters. However, I hope you enjoy it. The purpose is to spread awareness about a topic I hold close to my heart. It is to also to encourage those who are dyslexic. . . . . . Miya Marshall is a 12 year old 7th grader. She goes though her first year in Clare Hall High with mostly D's and F's. She hates reading, and barely writes notes in her classes. When Miya is kicked off the basketball team and is on the verge of repeating 7th grade, her parents intervenes and find out that Miya's poor academic performance is not entirely her fault. "She sighed as she looked at her reflection. The reflection that stared back at her copied her every movements. It seemed to be taunting her for being dumb. This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic. You may even find yourself comparing your life to Maddie's while reading this story.
