Serafina is the exact opposite of a cliche character. She acts normal; she does it to keep people from thinking that she's weird and even maybe mentally off. She lives for adventure and gets none (except for possibly her blossoming singing career), while most want normalcy and get chaos. That is, until she starts having strange dreams. Then the hate of her life starts flirting with her, and it's real, not insults like they were before. When she's told the story of Origin and the real story that happened before "the Beginning" and why a "Beginning" even exists, she gets her wish: an adventure. But this adventure is much different than what she had pictured.
