This World of Ours

Esin Agumenta and her five extraordinary cohorts –Drake, Selina, Kennaia, S’egrin, and Jagger –have been brought up and trained in secrecy by their equally-extraordinary guardians to carry on the ways of an order long thought vanished. When they become separated from the safe embrace of their teachers, they are thrust into an alien world caught between two distinct ages of human evolution, and onto an ancient battleground of a war as old as time itself. Forced to learn to cooperate or die trying, the six young men and women face a world not ready to handle them, a wayward cult determined to end them, and the questions surrounding the events around the time of their birth, backed by a life-eating deserter, a five-sided lunatic, and a common waiter. But in the end, the answers to their questions lie in the truth no one ever bothered to tell.
