Ever since she was a child, December Hel has been tormented by Lucas Harper. She lived in Solis, a world were humans and vampire live in peace, but Lucas was anything but peaceful. He was everywhere she went: school, parties, her house. She was sick of being bullied by a vampire she hated. She was heading off for college, and couldn't wait to get out.

But then, Lucas does something unexpected. He tries to make peace with December and become friends, but she won't have it. She keeps pushing him away further and further, not realizing that his feelings were at steak, as well as her own.
