When Denver High School's drama club-the only place that many kids are able to be themselves- faces closure, Shannon Peterson takes on the daunting task of recruiting new members. And considering 95% of the club's male actors graduated, Shannon has to get over her hatred for most of the guys she knows or the club may face it's demise. Plus the pressure of her overbearing parents and teachers to be perfect and rude comments of her classmates to let lose a little don't help one bit. With what feels like the weight of the world on her shoulders, will Shannon be able to do it, or will she crack? - there are cute boys in this too, i swear.
