Lord of the Flies, girl-on-the-island fanfiction. Probably rated Teen. Original character belongs to me, but nothing else. Dezibelle Xeng is my OC, based off of one of my friends from Hoboken. (She begged to be part of this story in return for helping me with the American bits.) This is a modern AU, based off of the book, the '63 movie and a little of the '90s movie (for Simon's character only). The rest belongs to William Golding.
Note: Ralph and Jack are both 17, Dezi is 14, Simon is 15, and Roger is 16.

When the pilot's daughter crash-lands on a desert island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, all she wants to do is survive long enough to get rescued. After all, being the only girl on the island with a bunch of school boys and choir boys is no way to spend one's time. Except maybe with the elected chief, Ralph, the intellect, Piggy, the quiet friend and sage, Simon, and the littluns. What she wants most, though, is to keep away from that damn Jack Merridew, who's the most arrogant and annoying boy she's ever met and has some rather questionable friends. But as sparks start to fly between the two of them, the island starts to get more dangerous. Littluns whisper of a "snake-thing" in the woods, and the boys start to lose their grip on sanity and civilization. In the midst of all this, will she stay with the civilization she knows and lose the boy she loves, or stay with the boy she loves and lose the civilization she knows? Note: I will probably go back and edit as needed even when the story is completed. I wait for him to look at me. "The fuck you staring at me for,bitch??" He snarls. I lean in quickly,pressing my lips to his. He freezes,eyes widening. Then he suddenly shoved me away,hard. I lost my balance and fell back. "Ew,the fuck you putting your girl germs on me for? Just because we're childhood friends doesn't mean I prefer your sushi over cock."
