Graham Audlin, a young cleric of the Faith, has been sent to the remote mining village of Greyridge situated high up in the icy mountains of Úbon. He is expected to one day replace the aging priest stationed at the village temple. When a tremor shakes the mountain, its causes an avalanche to tear through the village and leave many villagers trapped inside the nearby mines. As the people rally to try and rescue those trapped underground, Graham must overcome his own insecurities and doubts if he hopes to be of any help to the people. But what other forces are at play here in this forgotten corner of the world? Is this tragedy truly the Lord's doing, or is it something else?

Talamayas Sol loses his mother when he stumbles upon a mage in the deserts of his territory, and he is plunged into a despair he's never known. Stricken with grief, he imprisons the murderer and wipes out every last mage of the Song-a human supremacist mage family that had murdered his kind for nothing more than the joy of their extinction. Through his pain, Talamayas finds himself leaning on the man in his dungeons, be it only to torture him for the relief it grants. It was anger at first, but as he learns more about the circumstances of his mother's death and the terrors that fill Wren Song's nightmares, he is inescapably tethered to the man in his dungeons. Why can't he just kill Wren Song and move on with his life? What keeps him close to the mage and anxious when he leaves his side? Is there more to it than obsession and a need to crush the enemy of his past? If there is, what does that mean for him and his people? There are the beating of wings, in the moonlit sky that tell a bleak and disturbing tale. The powerful Bladed Cross was stolen, on the cursed earth, where evil rules, merciless, and determined. Now, catastrophic events unfold under the nose of a near future society, when Owen Collins and the people he loves are thrown into a blood soaked conflict fate had tied them to since the events of the Biblical Testaments. A terrible, demonic force seeks to bring about the End of Days before the Comings of Christ. A force that no mortal could predict, no prophet had written of. A secret rebellion struggles to fight against the creature's sadistic wrath. And Yahweh's plan to prevent the extinction of his Children is more than just the inspiring leadership of a broken hero. Long ago, an Angel, from the Order of The Ninefold, gave birth to a child of their own. From that child, came her own offspring, seized by the Holy, and the Fallen alike. A power to be ripped from the Fallen. A quest to reclaim the pieces of the key, the key that is the Bladed Cross. To end a war meant to abolish faith, life and love. A war that drew our blood and very tears. Oh, Lord, give rise to the Guardians, to the broken who suffered this evil! The roaring of the dragons fills us with your Holy fire! Owen Collins, Sheriff of Red Leaf. His trusted, fearsome friend, Ted Walker. His ever gentle spouse, Chloe Collins. Molly Dillion, the fiercest of the Rebels. And Eli Griffin, the Failed Son! And many others whom the beating of wings would guide. Those who's love kills just as easily as hate. Death and cruelty are no strangers to the hearts of those who seek to protect God's Children from corruption.

Varg's hand lifted and slammed on the wall right beside my head before he resumed holding my wrist. "They. Took. YOU!" He was looking past me now, his eyes full of rage and fear. "I chose to go-" I started but he cut me off. "I know!" he raged. "That's what makes it worse! Just... stop getting stolen from places! They come and you go and I have to track you, find you, all over again and one day I may not be able to!" "Fine! Then don't!" I was so angry, furious because I felt guilty and I had no idea why. "It's not a god damn choice Princess, it's a COMPULSION!!!" he roared, his voice full of despair and sorrow. "Just tell me where you want to go and we will go. But stop fucking leaving me and disappearing! Where do you want to go, huh? Right now, tell me, and that's where we'll go!" "Is that so?" I laughed bitterly. "You are bound as I am. I cannot escape Mother, but you cannot take me ANYWHERE while Mythros still holds your tether!" --- Highest Held Rankings: #1 in CinderellaPhenomenon #1 in Fritz #1 in Varg I have some canon details but this is primarily about building the relationship between Varg and Lucette (Fritz already had his happy ending and this isn't it.) It also doesn't pick up the story until after the princess awakes from her coma. The first few chapters will cover material from the story but in a slightly different light and with some canon divergence. There will be spoilers. Also, PG-13 does not suit Varg, as far as I am concerned, so expect this to be significantly more explicit than anything in the original once we get into the story a bit. HEED THE TAGS. This is kinky. This has primal smut. It's completely okay if this isn't your thing, but no one gets to be mad about the level or type of kink in this story. You have been forewarned.
