Graham Audlin, a young cleric of the Faith, has been sent to the remote mining village of Greyridge situated high up in the icy mountains of Úbon. He is expected to one day replace the aging priest stationed at the village temple. When a tremor shakes the mountain, its causes an avalanche to tear through the village and leave many villagers trapped inside the nearby mines. As the people rally to try and rescue those trapped underground, Graham must overcome his own insecurities and doubts if he hopes to be of any help to the people. But what other forces are at play here in this forgotten corner of the world? Is this tragedy truly the Lord's doing, or is it something else?

In the timeless realm of Virdar, a secret lies buried beneath the scars of a forgotten war. Seven ancient giants, each embodying a primal element-Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Lightning, Ice, and Nature-were created to protect this mystical land. But a curse of unknown origin turned them into enemies, igniting a devastating conflict that reshaped the world forever. From the ashes of the giants' fall emerged the Deviants-beings of pure, destructive power-and the scattered remnants of their elemental hearts gave rise to seven mysterious amulets, each brimming with untold potential. These relics, whispered to hold the key to salvation or ruin, were entrusted to the newly created humans, who now live under their shadow. As the balance of Virdar falters once more, the heirs of the Grimwore, Fairytold, and Wright families uncover a chilling prophecy: the rise of the Deviants is only the beginning. Among the amulets lies one that should never have existed-the Amulet of Nature, hidden away by Hearsay, a celestial being whose forbidden creations carry a legacy that both binds and threatens the fate of all. When six chosen heirs set out to uncover the Amulet of Nature, they awaken forces beyond their comprehension. Betrayals, ancient truths, and celestial powers converge in a battle where even victory comes at a price. A single word, Evanescet, spoken by an enigmatic figure, alters the fabric of the realm, but the scars of war remain-a haunting reminder of what was lost. What secrets lie within the amulets? Who cursed the giants, and why? And what will the heirs discover about themselves and the fragile world they are sworn to protect? Mysteries abound, alliances crumble, and destinies are rewritten in this gripping tale of elemental power, hidden legacies, and the relentless pursuit of balance.

Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.

AARYAN never believed in fate. Born into hardship and shaped by struggle, he clawed his way out of the dirt only to find himself trapped in an unforgiving world where the strong prey upon the weak. To survive, he relies on sharp instincts, careful calculations, and an iron will-never blind faith. Yet, when an expedition goes awry, AARYAN is thrust into a world he never sought-a world of cultivators, ruthless ambition, and forces beyond his understanding. For the first time, true power-the kind that could rewrite his fate-is within reach. Forced into a ruthless sect where deception is survival and strength is law, AARYAN is caught in a web of scheming elders, ruthless rivals, and unseen hands shaping his fate. With only his wits, a growing mastery of cultivation, and an uncanny knack for getting into (and out of) absurd situations, he must carve his own path-one not dictated by destiny. But fate is not so easily denied. Shadows of the past stir, whispers of something greater call to him, and something far older watches from the dark. In a world where the heavens dictate the fates of all, AARYAN has only one goal: to prove that his life is his to control. Even if it means standing against the very will of the heavens themselves.
