Zeke's best work is drafted during "medicinal vacations," where he uses his condition to aid his writing process, short term memory be damned. However, the latest "vacation" dubs him a P.O.I. in the murder investigation of Carter (his rival colleague), and he's unsure if his intimacy with her was hallucination or reality. His there-again, gone-again friend August isn't much help, either. Zeke wonders why police don't follow the vamp-attack angle, considering Carter's wounds. March 24th, 2014: Kevin Vásquez goes missing. April 9th, 2015: Kevin's remains are found. March 24th, 2016: Ricardo receives a message from an unknown number, the messenger claims to be Kevin. The day of the two year anniversary after his foster brother's disappearance, Ricardo Vásquez receives a message from an unknown number.
