Zuko went to help Katara get revenge for her mother's death but only to come across those who know both of them from when ba sing se fell. The dai lee. 
For months they where captured under lake lougai until one day they escape and run. For years they ran knowing the dai lee was just behind them. Until they take sanctuary by a secret elegance of old friends. 

But seven years later they made peace, but sacrificed everything to just be alive.
