I wrote the time period in between the time that Loki let go of the staff and fell through the universe in Thor 1 and his attack on S.H.I.E.L.D and New York in Avengers 1.

They've both changed in so many ways, and with Loki now married to Sigyn for political advantages, the obstacles are high and the prices are higher. Life seems to be determined to keep them apart but with Thanos, on his way to Earth, it doesn't leave much time left for them if things go wrong.
