This was my English assignment, but I was pretty proud of it (although I only got an 80 percent because I completely messed up my rationale D:)
I was constrained to 1000 words, so it was a struggle.

Another ordinary day. That's what I thought. Boring and normal. Until everything was flipped upside down. Kidnapped, tested on, and then set into a new city I've never seen with no clue what was happening, or why. Then my supposed dream reached into the realms of possibility. I could be a hero. (This is just the manuscript. Nothing is complete. The plot is a mess. And theres lots of unnecessary things. The finished version will be much better)Complete

She was used to being alone. Used to hiding in trees, gripping her belongings as they searched for her below. Used to losing those she loved to them. Blights caused her pain. They caused everyone pain. She questioned what the point of living was. Now-a-days, it was just scraping by to survive. Then she heard about Ryseden, a utopia of sorts. They promise to shield those free of infection. They promise a warm bed with food. They promise a purpose in life. And that's exactly what she needs. u·to·pi·a: An imagined "perfect" realm. Where everyone is content; where things get done by people who are happy to do them, and where problems that have plagued our world for over a millennium no longer apply.
