The Woman from Mars: The robotic crew of the Basilisk thought humans were gone, long gone. But when they are sucked back in space and time to Jupiter's moon Europa in 2552, they discover a Viking civilization with the technology to rebuild human civilization - assuming the woman from Mars can complete her mission. Blasted Futures is a short story collection. Rik couldn't afford college, so he took a janitor job at a virology lab. One night, he cleaned up a broken test tube. Soon, his beard stopped growing. His Cheetos-and-donut paunch disappeared. Suddenly, when he talked, people actually listened. Sure, he could see spirits, too, and a high-ranking devil may or may not be hunting him, but mostly this was great. Then his sister caught the virus. And others. If the virus spread out of control, what would happen? An angel apocalypse? The hordes of hell's minions could not afford to have the human race turn into angels. To stem the spread of the angel virus, they invaded. Suddenly, it was up to Rik and Trixie to save the city, and themselves, and maybe the whole human race. --- Complete. Still polishing. As might be inferred from the title, this story deals in a loose way with Christianity, one of the five major world religions. It is not, however a "Christian story" in the sense of illustrating actual religious experience or practice. I just thought I'd be plain about that here, so readers can decide whether to turn the page or not. This story is an urban fantasy and it is entirely fictional. Content rating: teen. 'When Kellie lost her parents, I got to know that this group of high-tech people are going to leak this lab made virus which can most likely end the existence of life. They will start to take over the countries so that they can rule the world. I childish thought it is to me. Only they would have the antidote to this. Of course, other people would try to make the antidote, but it would not work because the virus can mutate. It will keep changing. 'Can you imagine the world in that sort of state? No? well, I did, and it is a kind you would not like to live in. I had made their plan fail but they threatened that they would try again and that I will know when they would be about ready.' She took in a deep breath and continued, 'And the sign has come. Their sign last time was heavy raining in which a kid lost her parents. The kid was from a particular school. It rained heavy. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Now, Bryce managed to find a well-paying job after the first year or so, and currently lives in a small one-story house in Rhode Island because of his new job, that being a cashier at a pharmacy, which he himself often confuses with being an actual pharmacist. One day, Bradley Silva invites himself and his son over to Bryce's house. The father and son immediately go out to fish. Bryce isn't happy they are just waltzing into his house to stay, but he needs company and would be lonely without anyone. It isn't long before drama unfolds, and Bradley Silva Jr was bitten by an unknown sea creature. He begins to develop a fever after an hour of contact, and he begins to act rather... odd. Bryce has a job as a pharmacy cashier, but doesn't recall a medicine for some odd behaviors Bradley's son exhibits. When this seems to spread, it is labeled a virus. Many and many people begin to get infected, including some people Bryce used to compete with. This is all getting out of hand... and Bryce needs to fix it... But how can Bryce stop it? What even are the symptoms? No, a better question is... IF Bryce stops it, can he stop the virus from infecting himself? Because this virus is driving everyone, infected or not, to the brink of their sanity.
