Harvey was the toughest person in Tulsa who barely made a sound. Wesley was the boy who couldn't keep his mouth shut. Clyde was the smart kid who didn't care about what other people thought of him. And Chris was simply the sweet older brother who was trying to hold everybody together. None of the four brothers had anything in common with each other except the fact that they were all greasers. They lived on the shitty side of town and were known as Rivers Gang. Other greaser gangs respected them, Socs were scared of them, and people in the middle were always silent. Nobody messed with Rivers Gang.

Ava Winston lived with her alcoholic father in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She didn't have anything extraordinary going on- just the usual greaser things, like avoiding socs and the police, or fighting other greasers. One night, after her dad kicked her out for the millionth time, Two-Bit Mathews stumbled upon on her while drunk at about 3 A.M. and convinced her to go to the Curtis' house. She had no idea that she would meet 7 lifelong friends and make some of the best- and worst- memories of her entire life. When her brother gets out of jail, he isn't happy to find her hanging out with all of his best friends. Especially not when he finds out that one of them likes Ava, and she may like them back. Alexandra aka Alex is your typical greaser girl. But she is different in one way. She's actually a Soc. Her parents are rich, she lives on the Soc side of town, she excels in school, but she dresses in skinny jeans, and jean jackets. when she moves in she immediately friends the Gang, Darrel, Sodapop, Ponyboy, Steve, Two-Bit, Johnny, and Dallas. She is constantly on the move to try and stay in this town she is proud to call home. But one night, Alex and Dallas end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Alex might not escape with her life.
