In a galaxy teeming with destruction, within the Last City on a devastated Earth, you are a Guardian, an individual chosen by a higher power to defy death itself in order to protect those who cannot. Being the first and last line of defense to the desperate remnants of Humanity, it is your duty to stand and fight terrestrial, intergalactic, and supernatural threats who desire to snuff out what remains of the Light. Arise, master your mysterious powers, form your Fireteam, and forge your own destiny as you become legend. 

"Risen: Destiny Retold" is a retelling of Bungie's "Destiny" video game franchise, with greater emphasis on world building and character development through the incorporation of Bungie's own expanded material as well as my own creative liberty in some aspects that were either glossed over or poorly explained within the story.

This story is the first in a ten-book series based on the video game franchise, "Destiny," developed by Bungie. The universe of Destiny is a science-fictional setting taking place in the future, where Humanity has been reduced to a singular city on Earth, and must rely on the Guardians, Humans who wield a power known as the Light, to defend them from various alien threats within the Sol system. Primarily, this story will follow the perspective of a Titan-class Guardian named Chrytor-6, but is told from the third-person, allowing for perspectives to change whether it be scene to scene or book to book, as our main character, Chrytor-6, will not always be the focus.

Then you will have no escape from me" he spoke as he backed away I could understand. Lycans, like lion-shifters, were going extinct. Therefore mates were even more important to them. But, even if I understood I still didn't want to be someone's mate. You become known as "Shade", a mysterious cloaked criminal known for your stealth and strength. You took pride in your reputation, and the best part was, nobody knew anything about you. From your face down to you're gender, it was all concealed. It was all cloaked. But all this changed once they found you. They took you in, capturing you to mold you into a soldier fighting for the survey corps. You despised the survey corps at first. After all, they stole you from your home. Took you away from the people you loved. They ruined your life, right? But... did they? You're stubbornness and skill capture the attention of a certain short black haired male. Corporal Levi was humanities strongest though, he couldn't like you, could he? He couldn't...
