Rise

A girl, Ayanna, who faces the challenge of going to an all-white school, lives in a racist community, due to her mother restricted amount of money. Ayanna gets bullied in her school and is constantly is coming home crying and hating herself. Until she one of her neighbors kill her mom and she is forced to take care of her younger sister, Maddie, and face the rest of the school.
