In a society where women are not equal to men, one woman is determine to work for what she wants. For a woman to be successful after high school, she has to go into the beauty field or marry into the right name. That's the only two options. Jessica Markwell does not want this for herself. She wants to do more and be more. She will be outspoken to do so. This gains the attention of a man named Lionel Kipp, a rather high ranked male of the society - a lot more than what Jessica had expected. Curiousity has led them to each other and over a short period of time, the two become close friends and even more.
