This book is about a polyamorous relationship ( Multiple partners consenting to a relationship with each other) Ties between royals are fickle and most are strained. Many factors pull one apart in multiple directions, as the heart and the mind may be one but are seldom united. A long drawn out tension due to war drive two of the most powerful kingdoms against each other, but do the rulers of these lands consent to the strife? After all, they are young and are guided by crueler motives than their own. A princess from a weaker kingdom seems to stand in between war, but will she have the power to change fate? A knight's only goal in life is to protect the crowned ruler, but what could he do when he has to pick between protecting his heart or the king's life? A companion to the heiress finds themself unable to save everyone close to their heart. But one person cannot go against royalty, or can they? A king and a heiress find themselves in a fight for their honor or their life, but both are unable to follow their heart. How does being royalty still not account for them making their personal choices? ✩ Book is still ongoing
