Always - Yang Xiao Long x Male Reader

"What's your favorite fairy tale?"

"The Four Maidens?"

"The Great Wizard of Oz?"

"Or perhaps the story of a knight in shining armor?"

Qrow smiled faintly.

"No, Yang. I think I know which fairy tale you loved most."

"The one about the Golden Child."

But fairy tales aren't always simple stories of heroes and happy endings. In a world filled with Grimm, Huntsmen, kingdoms, and secrets buried beneath generations of conflict, even the brightest stars can be swallowed by darkness.

A boy who appeared when she needed him most.

A friend who grew alongside her.

A partner who would eventually become something far more.

This is the story of Y/N Lockheed.

The boy who would grow up alongside Yang and Ruby Xiao Long, forge bonds that would span generations, and eventually find himself standing among the next generation of Huntsmen and Huntresses.

From childhood friendships to first loves, from Beacon Academy to the Vytal Tournament, his journey will intertwine with the people who will shape Remnant's future.

Because sometimes, the greatest fairy tales aren't the ones written in old books.

They're the ones we live.
