For two months, Forks has been unusually quiet for supernatural attacks, apart from the wolves constantly patrolling around it, and the 'vegetarian' vampires who hunt, there hasn't been a whisper of trouble.
At least not until Silver Swan comes back to town.
After spending 2 months in the Alaskan Wilderness with her pack made up of Rey Ostinski, Bull Redwood, and Charles 'Chuck' Taylor, she's called back by Samuel Uley, saying that Embry Call, wants to speak to her.
So, she leaves her home in Alaska, and comes back to La Push, to find Embry making out with another girl, in the room that had once belong to her.
She hardly can keep her vomit in, so she runs, but not before Embry sees her. He says, that in rare instances, a wolf can imprint on [two] people, not just one. It's what happened to him.
He's being ripped apart, by his loyalty to Sam and the Quilete tribe, and Silver, who is purebred Quilete, but has rebelled against Sam's rule, and created her own pack.
