Peter's eyes widen. "We need to go."
"What? Why?" I ask him as he stands.
"Just come on." He hisses, practically yanking my arm out of its socket.
"Peter!" I exclaim, standing and racing after him. "What is going on?"
He turns a corner and pulls me into the alley behind the cafe, rolling up his sweatshirt sleeves to reveal web shooters. "Don't you know who that is?"
A memory, from before I was an Avenger. A man in golden armor, at a gala in German, on the news. The same man who is in the park right now.
"Loki." I look at Peter, who nods. "But he's in prison on Asgard, isn't he?"
"Obviously not." Peter glances around the corner.
"Are you sure? Maybe it's just someone who looks like him?"
"I can assure you, that is not the case." A voice purrs behind us.

(Story is set directly after Thor: The Dark World, but in this fanfiction, Loki came to earth rather than going back to Asgard and stealing the throne)

She raises an eyebrow. "Everyone?" She repeats and I deflate slightly in surrender. She was on my side, mostly. "You're over eighteen and legally allowed to make your own decisions. He was quite amused with the change of color in the guards skin. The sound of rushed footsteps fell deaf to his ears as he pressed his nails into the guards neck drawing drops of crimson liquid.
