Annabelle is the new girl a Tide Waters. She's always felt out of place, and this place is no exception. She is half Kikeame, half white, and when you go to school where the two groups are strictly divided, halfies like her are not welcomed. It doesn't help that everything about her looks native except for dark blue eyes that change shades depending on the mood shes in. They're welcoming at first but then seem to grow hostile towards her. Thankfully she makes friends who doesn't care about that. Chad has never felt out of place because he has always belonged no questions asked. Well known and popular, typical captain of the football team, a naive american take on the all-american boy. Well known, well liked. They are both normal, or what they consider normal, but Annabelle is not what she appears or even thinks she is.
