Samantha Ross Powell, a 16 year old girl who lives at her mothers, never knew where to go and what to do. She had grown up with only a mother, and always had her as a guide for help. But when her only family is under constant supervision at the hospital after falling into a deep coma from a shooting she learns how much her mother had been giving to her, but also hiding.
After rescuing her at the hospital, a man called Fred illegally adopts Samantha with his girl friend Charlotte. With her new father, Samantha explores the arts of shadowing while also keeping her real life in action.
