The first word used to describe Afia has always been beautiful, but she has never felt that way. As a housemaid, she has been around affluent men her whole life so the lines of her boundaries and the meaning of 'no' have blurred over time. When the wife of the family she's working for finds out her husband has been sleeping with the housemaid, Afia is fired. In need of a job and no where to go, she gets hired to work for the notorious crime lord Rowan Amato and is thrown into the world of dangerous, powerful men who always get what they want. And a lot of them want her. Afia's body was never her own, but when a man with basic human decency respects her boundaries, she starts feeling things she never thought she could. Can she be anything more than a play thing for the men whose power and money is unfathomable? Or will she always just be the help? *Trigger warning* This book deals with topics such as sexual abuse, wealth disparity, and violence. Please read at your own risk.
