Aspen Kennedy didn't know she had a destiny. She hadn't thought about how her life would play out before her. When she befriends a sad girl from Forks, Washington, and meets a goofy boy from La Push in a convenience store all in one day, she is immediately thrown into a world of the unknown. She never dreamed her heart would grow tied to a hot-headed Quileute boy with so many secrets.

Paul Lahote had a hard life. That life became even harder when legends of things that went bump in the night turned out to be real, and he became one of them. He never imagined his life would halt at the sight of a small, smiling, brunette girl after all that has changed. But, she would show him the good in the world he had grown to detest.
