Basically, our young protagonist, Miss Anne Aemilius, is taking off in life. She is currently in her junior year and has a massive crush on one of her best friends in school. While she is exploring her newfound attraction, she is offered and early admissions scholarship to a college that will ship her out to Japan for no extra cost. She has to decide between an extra year with this newfound live interest or a jumpstart on her adult life.
