The world has fallen into shambles. There are no longer countries, despite what existed in the past. A war has desecrated everything that we thought to hold dear. Humanity has turned on itself, and due to the effects of war we now are forced to hunt our own kind. The only form of organization in the chaos that is left of our world is the group who refer to themselves as the Government. There are those who were effected by the destruction of our cities, our beautiful world. They have been given abilities, or really a curse. The Government formed a group of Hunters, who are cursed themselves, to hunt down the "dangerous ones." Those who are Hunters are special, and trained to kill. There is an upper class in this world, and if the Hunter completes their contract they become "free". In this desolate world some would rather kill then to have to scrounge for food any day. There are still a few scattered cities that still thrive, but they are small and isolated. This is a game of kings we play, to kill our oppressor and bring in the new age of humanity. There will be love, betrayal, grief and pain, but ultimately the Government will fall.

Nocturne

(Clair de Lune book #3) "I am here to officially confirm the existence of beings beyond human limitations on this planet, and they are by no means friendly." It's been a while now, traveling across the country and taking down facilities left and right. It's like a game of dominoes, the more that topple, the louder the noise gets. We've made new friends and lost old ones, but most importantly, we're still standing strong and from the looks of it, we won't be backing down soon. I was blindsided though and the most powerful became the powerless; I was fighting a war no longer fit for me but I still had my family behind my back, supporting me with every bone in their aching bodies. We still had a fight to finish and there was another war I was waging with myself, that of blood and bonds I'd never thought I'd have to choose between. In the end, none of this matters unless we find the man who started this all. The man who stripped me of my dignity, my fame; I'd win this war even if it stole the last, dying breath from my lips. At least I'd go down fighting for what I knew was right.
