When Tony Stark found out that one of his many one night stands was pregnant, he paid her off. During his playboy days, he wasn't interested in taking care of a baby, his or not. He wanted nothing to do with the girl or her child.
Money in hand, she found no reason to tell the billionaire that she was carrying twins, his twins. She simply flicked her copper curls over her shoulder and basked in the warmth of her new fortune.
Stark didn't hear about her again, not until five years later. After Afghanistan, Monaco, New York, Malibu, the Avengers. He got a call from social services. His daughter is unable to stay with her mother anymore, and he's her last chance before she's chucked into the system.

Tony Stark never thought fatherhood would be his greatest invention, but Aribelle and Anastatia-his twin daughters with Pepper-became his everything. His pride. His joy. His weakness. They were the reason he wanted to be better, to be more than Iron Man. Now, at eighteen, his "little girls" are stepping into their own-and straight into the orbit of two men Tony never expected to see them look twice at: Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. The Captain and the Winter Soldier might be heroes, but to Tony, they're also complicated reminders of the past. Steve has always been the man who challenged him, pushed him, sometimes infuriated him. And Barnes? Barnes carries the weight of a tragedy Tony can't forget, even if it wasn't entirely his fault. Can Tony reconcile his past with the possibility of his daughters' future happiness? Will he start seeing Steve in a new light-or will his protective instincts win out? Can he forgive Barnes enough to accept him as more than an ally, even as he battles the fear that one of his angels could love the man who once killed his parents? And beneath it all, one unshakable truth terrifies him most: the day might be coming when Daddy's little princesses won't need him anymore.
