DISCLAIMER: PRETTY DULL EYES WAS PREVIOUSLY TITLED TORN. IT'S STILL THE SAME STORY, BUT IS CURRENTLY UNDER EDITING. Eighteen year old Delilah is nothing but numb. She can barly remember her father, who left when she was young, and lives in contast fear of her abusive step-father. Her mother would rather be drinking than at home, and her friends don't seem to know or to care what's happening. Along with all this and an event in the past that left her broken, Delilah finds is hard to see faith in anything. The only means of escape she finds is through the music and fandom of One Direction. The five boys are her literal life, voice, and reason to be, and she wants nothing more but to tell them that. But when Delilah's step-father takes it a step to far, and Delilah finds herself away from her so called home, she ends up a lot closer to the boys of One Direction than she could ever dream of. Will she trust them with her past, and can they help her escape the present for a better future?

One Direction, One Direction, One Direction. This is all people talk about these days. Lisa is sick of it. Don't get her wrong, she doesn't hate them or anything. She's actually closer to them than you think. Lisa has had a rough couple of years. Her bestfriend Courtney Bright is the only thing keeping her grounded. She has tried to forget about her vicious past. But running away from your problems doesn't help. They will catch up on you one day. When you are least expecting it. Lisa's mum has planned for her to spend 2 months with her brother in London. Lisa sees this as an opportunity to help forget about her problems. But will it really help? Will it not just send her spiraling back to the past memories? Will things actually get better in her life for once? Or will seeing her brother just make it worse?
