This is the tale of a girl who discovered they were no longer just a regular person when they awoke one morning. I mean waking up with wings, fangs, and fireproof skin wasn't exactly on my to-do list. Suddenly, I'm breaking doorknobs, eating enough ramen to shock the shop owner, and googling "how to demon 101." Life as an awkward otaku was tough enough-now I'm stuck figuring out what I've turned into and whether I can still pass as human. Curse or blessing, one thing's clear: my life just got a whole lot weirder. At least ramen still tastes the same.

I was used to being alone. I was always the girl surrounded by people, yet still utterly alone. It was comforting. I had grown immune to the feeling of being by myself. But then, I met him. And despite the voices in my head screaming at me to not let him in, to continue on by myself, in the comfort of the coldness. He crept under my skin. He found the demons that drug my limbs around. There is no way that I can escape this now; no way that I can possibly escape her and all that lies behind the darkness in her eyes. I've gone too far. Inexplicably, I have become entranced by everything that she is, especially the red that we share. She is like the moon: haunting, beautiful, and so far out of reach. I have walked her through the gates of hell and, still, she has made no attempt to turn back. She likes to push my buttons, to put me on edge in an attempt to feel the red that resides within her.
