Guardian ( Chinese ) is a web drama adapted from the fantasy bl novel of the same name.
The original novel was changed in the show to be a bromance, rather than romance between the two leads due to the censorship.
The series has 40 episodes which ended as a tragedy.
I am writing a sequel to the series which will contain romance between the two leads and will ended up as a happy ending for the both leads.
This story will contain 40 episodes, similar to the first series.

(bk14) They are two halves of the same coin, magnets drawn to each other when they are apart. Zhao Yunlan is an unwanted detective in his department and finds a warm welcome in another where he learns that life is more complicated than he could ever imagine. Shen Wei is on holiday but not the kind everyone else would consider and is shot by accident or not, he doesn't know, but he calls out for help and his other half answers even though they have not met. An old enemy returns, an old character also returns, and an old face leaves to start a new job. The main characters are taken from the TV series Guardian and adapted to suit the stories. The series was adapted from the book by Priest, who is a wonderful writer. Without her we wouldn't be able to enjoy following her brilliant characters. I WAS DEVASTATED WITH THE ENDING of Guardian! I knew that the drama has a sad ending before I even started watching it but still wanted to give it a go and once I was done with it I cursed myself as to why I watched it! I cried my eyes out damn! Being a sucker for happy endings I was so depressed about the fact that Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan do not end up together even though Shen Wei literally waited for Zhao Yunlan for 10,000 years. Therefore, I decided to write my own ending! A HAPPY ENDING!!! Disclaimer: 1. I am altering the events of ONLY the last episode and also changing other co-related happenings to the final episode. Obviously, I am no big shot writer and my knowledge about Chinese Mythology is very limited as well. Therefore, please pardon me if I hurt your feelings in any way. My work is purely for the reason that I hate, absolutely hate sad endings and cannot accept it! 2. As I have already mentioned above that I am basically changing the sequence of events that has been shown in ep 40, so it means that there will be few scenes and dialogues which will remain unchanged. 3. I respect the fact that the Laws and censorship is very strict and therefore, no homosexual plot is accepted, I will abide by that and also make a happy ending without any homosexual content!!
