Mature
Mara and Ezra are a newly wed couple that has just decided to move across the country for a fresh start after they find out they can't have children. They decide to become foster parents because they cannot afford to pay an adoption fee at the moment. A sixteen year old boy named Elliott Barra and his eight year old little "brother" Matéo (Téo) Ortiz become their foster children. But what they didn't expect was for them to be so hurt.

Elliott had been tossed around like a piece of trash for as long as he could remember. Bouncing from foster home to foster home, he never really had a family, except for Téo. They met at a group home and he'd promised to stay with him and protect him forever. Even if it meant turning down opportunities to be placed in a good foster home. They were thrown around, and Elliott was confident that the world had forgotten about the scarred little boy and the broken teenager. Until Mara and Ezra Carrel started fostering them.

Falling Star: Book 2 of The Orion Series

45 parts Complete Mature

Life has never been better for Tristan. Orion has been on the road to recovery for a year now. With each passing day, Orion improves and becomes happier. The band is flourishing, setting the precedence for generations to come. Life seems perfect. That is, until something catastrophic and unthinkable happens. Will they be able to come out the other end in one piece, or will a rainy day in Colorado be their undoing? More importantly, who will live? **CONTENT WARNING** This book includes situations intended for adults, including depictions of a graphic car accident, depression, mental illness, addictions, and sex. THE SECONDARY MAIN CHARACTER (Orion) SUFFERS FROM CLINICAL DEPRESSION. This book addresses social issues including adoption (including failed attempts), losing a sibling, physical and emotional child abuse, and homophobia. **THERE IS A REFERENCE TO CHILD MOLESTATION** This is NOT condoned by ANY means whatsoever. Furthermore, I tried to keep it as vague as possible and the scene has been heavily edited to be as non-offensive and disturbing as possible. READER DISCRETION IS HEAVILY ADVISED BEFORE CONSUMING THIS BOOK. ~IMPRESSIVE RANKINGS~ #48 out of 12.8k stories growth #141 out of 7.9k stories lifechanging #46 out of 2.6k lifeordeath #110 out of 5.61k crash ~TOP TEN~ #8 out of 341 adversity #10 out of 91 medicaldrama
