Zena Zayd is a very outgoing and smart 23 year old woman of color. North African to be exact. She has been trough a lot in her life especially the last 10 years have been hard for her. She barely even has time to sit still and think about every bad thing that happened to her because her hands are full. She's raising a beautiful 6 year old little boy by her self. A boy she named Adyn. The dad isn't even around. She will raise him the exact opposite of what she thinks of his dad and Adyn will be fine. Every bad thing she can think of him, she will do the exact opposite. It's an interesting parenting method but it's fine as long as he doesn't end up becoming like him... Like Sky Reign.

After nearly two years of planning to start afresh, she decides moving three thousand miles away from her past, and restricting the memories of her past life to her hometown would be for the best. Even if it meant forgetting the boy who'd left her for dead after she'd given him her heart. Her life seems to be looking up when she starts falling for Hunter; the pretty boy she never intended to like. But when her past comes trailing along in the form of a person she thought she'd lost forever, her entire world she started to build starts crumbling beneath her. Slowly, she starts remembering bits and pieces of the past she thought she'd left in her old life. And the people she thought she could trust her heart with seem to be the people who are out to rip it to pieces. Does forgiveness come easy when the ones we gave our heart to are the ones who will break it without a second thought? After all, they say the heart wants what it wants, but does betrayal and heartbreak make the heart reach out farther? ~~~ A story of love, heartbreak, and betrayal...
