Simon Pollucks thinks he's asexual. He's never had feelings for anyone, girl or boy. He's not exactly in the best emotional state either what with his mom's divorce and his first encounter with his birth parents. But for the sake of his adopted twin sisters and brother, he's managed to put on a fake smile, force a laugh, and pretend like he's fine, like nothing's wrong. Staying strong for the ones you love is important in times of need, is what he keeps telling himself.
Running into the girl with the crooked purple glasses seems to have changed Simon's stubborn belief regarding his sexuality. This girl with her unruly appearance has Simon captivated. Her confusing statements and wild chocolate brown curls have Simon struggling to get her to reveal her name.
He can't help but wonder whether this strange girl can help him just as she claims he is helping her. He wonders what he fears most accepting his new reality or himself?
