The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose neither options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate. If you haven't found and kissed your soulmate by the time you turn 18, you die of the "disease." The flowers are your soulmate's favourite color(s). Their gender is shown by what kind of flower it is: buttercups for female, roses for male, and oleanders for any others. Once you kiss your soulmate, the flowers retreat over a span of a week, finally leaving forever.
