Jaslyn is content with her quiet life. She lives in a
suburban area with her parents, in a house smacked in the middle
of the city of Manhattan, New York. Yet, the problem she
faces is due to her parents never being around
whenever she needed them. Being the daughter of a well-
known lawyer and police captain was hurting her in more
ways than one could handle.
Jaslyn Lynch, a naïve genius with a knack for being a
know it all, dreams of one day escaping her hometown. When
she discovers that John, a boy she been in love with is
murdered-her world falls apart and her quiet life is turned
upside down. At his funeral, she receives an envelope with
evidence pointing to his killer. She plans to find the killer and make sure justice is served.
To escape the threat the killer has over her head, she
realizes that the killer is someone she knew well. The
evidence points to Derek, her best friend who abandoned her
when she entered high school at elven years old. To top off
the feeling of betrayal, she learns the motive behind John
death and she is consumed with guilt and hatred.
Because Jaslyn has unraveled, the murder of John Murphy
the warning she was given has made her suspicious of Derek
accomplice. On her fifteenth birthday, Derek takes matters
into his own hands and rapes her in an alley, leaving her
with fear that he would come back.
That night changed her. Not only did she fear for her
life, but she feared for the abominations that was growing
inside of her womb. On the sixteenth of August, she
delivers twin into the world without knowing that she was
