From the year 1994 and onwards, the Zhang and Calinao family kept each other company in Vancouver, Canada by being neighbors. Both mothers from the two families went to the same high school, college, and hospital to give birth to their kids. Albeit, with a few months in between.

The only children of these two families; Frank Zhang and Arcadia Calinao, grew up side-by-side. They stuck to each other like salt & pepper or peanut butter & jelly.

But when Frank's mother died, the two drifted apart despite the feelings that grew in between them over the years of spending time with each other. Then Frank disappeared, leaving Arcadia alone and feeling incomplete without her best friend who could've been someone more.

So, to help her get over him, Arcadia's mother sends her on a quest: Find her family's treasure that they lost long ago when their distant North-American relative stole the treasure and brought it back to his homeland.
But when she runs into Frank on her journey, her mother's plan goes south and she learns that Frank and her are more connected than she thought.
