The Land Surrounded by Water

Australia. Lizzie didn't want to go, in fact she's there and she hates it. She hates her dad for abandoning her to go to India, she hates how she has to stay there for the whole year and most of all she hates how her dad seems to have moved on so quickly after her mother died.
After a memorable encounter with the school's bad boy, Alec, on her first day in Australia he seems to be extremely annoying and arrogant, but after a series of unfortunate events is he the only one that can understand and help her?
