I open the door abruptly, irritated. The wind created from my harsh opening of the door blows past my curls, and I stop short from my fussing. He jumped up from rocking himself back and forth -- wiping his red face harshly and sniffling uncontrollably. He backed up against the window, scared. A rare occurrence. I open my mouth, but no words transpire. His chest heaves with hurt, his face stained with tears.
I take my hand off the knob, and walk closer.
