The year 2086.

„Everyone had their hopes and dreams set in the future. They always said ‚everything is going to be possible then, life will be better'"
 Silence.
We both struggled to imagine the people's visions about the future-she experienced it, grew up in that world, I didn't. But still-we both couldn't imagine life back then anymore.

The world drastically changed. Now, when there's truly everything possible, when you can live for a hundert years and even more, the people didn't realize how they got locked away in a cage by the government.
You don't have control about anything anymore-you can't even die.
Because if they don't want you dead, you'll survive.
But if they wanna see you dead, you'll get pulled out of your life, faster than you can blink. And there's no way you could survive a death, planned by them. There's no way you could come back, you can't even say goodbye. So the solution: be Well-behaved, don't stand out of the crowd and never ever let them catch you doing anything they'd dislike.

„if I had been living that time, I would have killed myself before they made us to what we are now. Just to escape all of this, what they call life.", I huff, breaking the silence.
„Sweetie, I know. But when everybody realized what was going on, it was already too late.", her eyes are watery, but even if there's a shine from the tears in her eyes, there was nothing else, no emotion, no power. And with that I knew, my grandma had already given up, but I wouldn't.

I'll free myself out of here, out of the cage I call home.

She's sure Athena hates her and will do anything to get her out of her hair, even setting her up with a vulnerable widower in her new husband's firefighting station. The last thing Liv wants in L.A. is a new boyfriend to inevitably let her down, but damn, he's got a great ass- and what's a little bit of fun? EDDIE DIAZ needs a fresher start. 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝟏 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 Aarna never thought two pink lines could shake her world. She stood frozen, staring at the test in her trembling hands. Pregnant. A word she had longed to hear, yet feared the most. Would he accept it? Or would he push her away again, just like before? The door creaked open. Her heart pounded. Sharad's sharp gaze met hers. "What are you hiding?" Her breath hitched. She wasn't ready for this. Not yet.
