Summary:
(y/n) was a childhood friend of James Delaney's. She was there for him through it all, being his friendly shadow as they grew. When James left for Africa and never returned, she was devastated, but never lost hope. She could never believe he was dead and refused the idea whenever brought forth to her. With nothing more to do, she prayed for her friend's return. When word spread that Horace Delaney had passed (y/n) felt pained. And when his funeral came, so did the answers to her prayers. James was back and seeking claim on Nootka Sound. Now, (y/n) must stand by James' side and help him through the peril the world has so eagerly released upon him.
