Three years have passed since the events of the first book, The fight against the Remnants is proving to be a tough one. The Communist USRR and Democratic NUAF have set aside grudges to fight the strongest faction. But a falling out of the two seems almost inevitable and a line separating the two will take form. Alexander is unwavering to his cause, But someone lurks in the dark waiting for this very opportunity. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough.
