Kalina loves the beach and she loves to surf. She lives on the Big Island of Hawaii with her father, Etana, and her brother, Moke. But, Kalina discovers that she can no longer surf on Kamilo Beach, where her father taught her because the ocean and the beach are filled with plastic, trash and garbage that is not only ruining the beach of her ancestors, but the plastic pollution is destroying the planet and killing the sea life she has come to love. "Can it change?" Kalina wonders, "it must," she thinks, "something must be done."
A young woman finds herself in an unexpected predicament when she becomes pregnant by her former boyfriend. She prepares to share the news with her ex, but destiny takes a tragic turn as she comes face-to-face with the very criminal she should have informed him about.
