"What happens on the ship, stays on the ship."

Ever been on a cruise before? Well, neither has Cleo.

But that's all about to change.

Now, Cleo's not going to complain about the exotic destinations or the free food, but seven days of being anti-social doesn't seem like the most exciting thing in the world. Because that's exactly how she pictures her time spent on the boat.

So imagine her surprise when she stumbles upon a place for teens. And a strange group of people (mostly guys) to befriend.

With ice cream trips, new religions, dare or dare, a few scandalous mantras, a late curfew, and just a bit of drama, Cleo's Thanksgiving break is turning out to be a little more eventful than she expected.

Based on a true story; one girl, one boat, quite a few guys, and quite a few adventures.

Meet Alyssa Bent, she's a nerd. But not your typical one. She likes to read, but her world doesn't totally revolve around books. She's not shy nor does she stutter when someone tries to corner her. She can stand up to anyone provided it doesn't involve attention. Attention is the only thing that scares her, and like always, there's a reason behind it. Maintaining a balance of grades and producing comebacks with sarcasm dripping from each word isn't the only talent she possesses. Enter Aaron Pelt, the most popular boy at Gradient High. Girls fawn over him. Well, who wouldn't? He's the star soccer player, after all. With the looks no less than a model, he has no problem maintaining his status on the social ladder. He maintains a cool aura around him all the time. They both go to Gradient High, a school that is divided into two social groups: the popular ones and the nerds. The popular ones are the wealthy snobs and the nerds are the ones who practically are their slaves. At Gradient High, these two groups can never get along! Like Ever! But who knew that the most popular guy and the nerd would actually be best friends? That's right! Alyssa and Aaron have been best friends since their diaper days. But at school, they are forced not to acknowledge each other's presence because if they did, Aaron's reputation might suffer and Alyssa may be subjected to something she hates the most: attention. While Aaron may not know, the reason why Alyssa hates attention might be even more than she lets him believe. A reason that might even force her to throw away her future dream. So will Aaron be able to break through the walls and push her out even when he has the pressure of popularity and the school status weighing him down? Get ready to expect the unexpected. Alison moved to a new town as her father got a new job, simultaneously, she decided to hide her dark past, starting a new chapter of her complicated teenage life. She tucked her auburn hair tighter into a bun and searched for the next class when she passed a group of boys right outside the designated class. Clutching her hand inside the sweatshirt pocket, she watched as the bulky brown haired boy slammed his fist against the wall right beside the poor boy's face, glaring as the boy flinched, slumping his head further down. "What are you looking at!" He snapped, noticing the unfamiliar girl stood watching them. "Is this rude guy bothering you?" She ignored, asking the poor boy instead, earning a scoff from the baffled brown haired boy. Their first encounter was of mutual dislike. As they continue to bicker and argue on every possible occasion, Jason could not help but felt rather intrigued with Alison. Hidding behind her thick glasses, her enticing blue eyes captured his interest with secrets he wished to unfold. A story about bullying, friendship, falling in love and overcoming problems. Greetings, readers! This book is currently undergoing revision, so if you see a bunch of notifications for this book, or if you remember something that isn't there anymore, that's probably why. However, I plan on writing new chapters as well, so be sure to check! --- #6 in #passingnotes #4 in #passingnotes -- 12/27/24 --- It's not easy being the new kid. Autumn Bolk knows the feeling well. She's been "the new kid" about five million-gazillion times by now, thanks to her dad being re-stationed about every two years. It's pretty much the same every time: - pack up (only the important stuff!) - move houses - find a church - settle in (comfy) - find a friend (or two) - leave again (try to keep in touch) Number five million-gazillion and one shouldn't be any different. Right? Wrong. What if, this time, her friends are more than just contacts on her phone list? What if her church family really feels like family? What if she doesn't want to leave this time?
