The towns landscape is dour; smelly, overgrown ponds, somber architecture and dried up lakes are just a sliver of the sterility Sheffield, Maine has to offer. With poor living conditions, Sheffield has attracted a lot of attention. New cultures have left their mark not just on the town's history, but also upon the town's identity. And that, quickly and substantially, started to alter everything.

The lives of the people that live in this disheveled town change drastically when the murder of O'Hare Johnson unfolds. When everybody knows everyone in a small town like Sheffield, who could have done it? And who could be next?

Defining You

17 parts Complete

Meet Emmy Sherman, a quiet and overachiever bent on always keeping the rules. Now, meet Shawn Davis, a trouble maker and adrenaline junkie who plays out his worries on the guitar. Both completely different, whose paths soon cross. Emmy thinks Shawn could be more concerned about school, and Shawn thinks Emmy should learn to live a bit. Together they try helping each other fill the holes in their lives, but when Emmy discovers a dark secret about Shawn's past, could it ruin their recently acquired friendship? "Falling in love is effortless," Shawn smiled, gazing out into the city lights. "It can happen in a second. in a heartbeat. that's the beauty of love." Emmy knew he was just trying to distract her. "So what happened to the girl you loved?" Shawn's face went blank. "She's dead." (UNDER HEAVY EDITING, PLEASE SEE OTHER WORK FOR 1ST DRAFT)
